Helping a Local Woman Reunite with her Daughter

Helping a Local Woman Reunite with her Daughter

Visit the Donation Page Here.

“I have my boys…my heart is having my daughter with us.” These are the words of a Temecula resident who cannot be named because of on-going custody battle.  After six years of fighting to reunite with her now 13 year old daughter, this mother is asking for help from the community.  Her goal is to raise enough funds to get back East and finish this on going court battle to reunite with her family.  As stated, since this case is currently open and involves a minor child, no names will be told, just the story.

Six years ago, this now local Temecula resident came to California with custody of her daughter.  When her daughter went back for a visit (per her custody agreement) her father decided to try and keep her back East.  Because of financial reasons, the mother could not make it back east to a court date regarding placement, and thus lost custody in a default judgment.  When the woman asked the court for a telephonic court date (her appearing via phone form California) her request was denied. Since then her only means of keeping in contact with her daughter are through phone calls and emails.

When local non-profit organization Temecula Valley People Helping People and founder Denny Mighell heard the story they decided to step in and help.  Their goal is to help the woman raise funds to reunite with her daughter.  This local single mother works two jobs, raises her sons, and pays child support to the father of her daughter.  Under these circumstances the woman is struggling and in need of community support.  Temecula Valley People Helping People is doing a fundraiser to help and is asking that the community donate.  This can be done by PayPal at  www.tvphp or you can call Denny Mighell at 951-757-5212 or send a check to 40130 Holden Circle, Temecula CA, 92591, your help would make a huge difference in this case and is appreciated.

An upcoming event  (date pending) will have Tim Nash, Treasurer of TVPHP, a phone executive at Southern California Telephone Company, and 1/3 of Team USA, do all the heavy lifting for the fundraiser. Nash will lift for one hour and asks that people pledge whatever they can per pound lifted.  This event will benefit the local woman in reuniting with her daughter. More information is available at www.tvphp.org.

Jorge is a doting and loving father of 4 teenage girls, Jackie, Gisselle, Jessica and Melanie.   He has been a loving husband to his wife, Jacqueline of 19 years!

He has been suffering recently with extreme pain in his back and left leg and it quickly worsened when they finally did an MRI and found that he had a tumor in his brain, spine and on his left lung.  Stage IV cancer!!   Jorge has lived a wonderful life, never partaking in cigarettes, alcohol or such!  Water was his mainstay.  So, imagine the devastation of this young family.

Jorge is undergoing dual surgery tomorrow Thursday 9/16/10 at 10:00am at Riverside General in Moreno Valley, California, to remove the tumor on his brain and upper spine.

He has an fantastic and positive outlook even though the cancer is at stage IV…we believe in a miracle for him.
