Helping Those in Need in Southwest Riverside County - California

TVPHP is proud to partner with one of the biggest events in the Valley to encourage others to lead fit lives!

Here's the latest update from Dave Hubby - creator of The Valley's Biggest Loser:

This years challenge is off to a load roar. Contestants lost a combined 1400 lbs. in the first 2 weeks alone!  We are winding things down and looking for our biggest loser, but more important than just how much weight they have lost is the fact they are implementing the life style change they are being shown. Dialing in the proper nutrition structure is a huge battle and one they have to master if they want to not only lose the weight but keep it off. We have a great line up of Monday night speakers with the most renowned Wellness doctors and therapists speaking at Pechanga on topics to help them better understand how to live happier/healthier lives for themselves and their families. It's been a blast and each time we get together on Wednesday nights and Saturday morning workouts they bring their excitement with them. We have been to the Promendade Mall with a Saturday challenge and recently had a workout with the Temecula fireman at station 12. As you know our motto is "Help Yourself While Helping Others", the contestants made this motto not just a cliche but actually put it into practice by collecting donations of nearly $12,000 in which 100% of these donations are for local hunger relief/homelessness. We are continuing to collect donations hoping to double that amount by the end of the challenge. Each Saturday we have challenges that are sponsored by Chick-fil-a, Wahoos and Pechanga. These challenges are pushing the contestants for themselves and for their team. Just one important lesson they are learning is they cannot do this by themselves. They need support from professionals like P4L Fitness and they need a support group around them, those who are going through similar struggles to encourage each other to reach their goals. Valleys Biggest Loser is providing free support group sessions, the fitness guidelines and the education through the doctors.
